ARTHUR, THE STORY OF A KING

The award-winning Arthur, the Story of a King, toured extensively around the UK in 2003; 2004 and 2005, with Wee Stories bringing their unique storytelling style and sense of humour to the epic tale of the legendary King Arthur.

The story of Arthur has captivated the hearts and minds of so many for so long: his life and loves so much part of our history, but still so shrouded in mystery and magic. In days of old, King Arthur sent his knights on epic journeys of discovery - to vanquish mythical beasts, rescue fair maidens and... it kept them out of trouble!

So, travel back in time to the Dark Ages (called that not because it was dark, but because we don’t know that much about them…), to Camelot and the court of King Arthur. Step into the magnificent world of tournaments (just big sports days really), quests (exciting adventures) and mystical wizardry (it's a secret) and find out just how Arthur became the most famous of our Celtic heroes.

Arthur was the third and final chapter of a year-long project in 2003 (Excalibur and then Quest) to investigate the fascinating and inspiring tales and legends surrounding the many myths of Arthur, culminating in Arthur, the Story of a King.
